Update On Marketing Efforts: 2023

Upon taking over management of the Zaby Home Show in March 2023, Sweetpea (Pea) and BB_Licious (BB) have made several attempts to increase awareness of the ZHS as well as to increase the visibility of the shows sponsors.

We came up with the idea of having "socials", where the deco community could come together for a meeting to discuss issues and possible solutions. We've had one so far, and was attended by Pea and BB as well as a handful of other members of the deco community. We definitely expected more, since we posted in Forums about it as well as posted a bulletin about it. Disappointed but grateful someone showed up. Find out the results HERE.

The "Master The Master" Mini Deco Challenge was born. Bad_Timmy came to us (Zaby_Home_Show, aka Pea and BB) and pitched a new challenge and we accepted. Find out more HERE.

Pea set up a new property called "Zaby Home Show Management Office". BB and Pea both contributed to the set up and deco. It's open to everyone and all are encouraged to visit and landmark. Visit it HERE.

While brainstorming, BB and Pea came up with the idea of opening Zaby Home Store. The idea was to have the deco community make donations to stock the store. Zaby_Home_Show would then sponsor clubs and hosts/hostesses in an effort to spread awareness that the show is here and still kicking. Also, the store would be open to sell to the general public, generating revenue (at least a small amount) to help with show expenses. Signs in the store would express donor's name on each item/set, which would help with sponsor marketing. The main store opened and before long, had expanded to include 3 stores: Spring/Summer store, Fall/Halloween store, and Winter/Christmas store. Visit the stores via the ZHS Management Office OR directly using URLs below:

Update: The stores have since closed.

Pea and BB updated the rules/entry form and set up the new blogs, which included the new "Master The Master Mini Deco Challenge". Upon doing that, we had a discussion about judging and how tedious the job was (voluntary, I might add ~ judges don't get paid for judging!). We spoke with x_Jen_x (owner of Created By x_Jen_x) and she indicated she could create a judging system to make it easier for judges to score properties. At that point, we entered into a partnership with x_Jen_x and gave her sponsor marketing in exchange for her creating a new system for us, at no charge. The judges for Spring/Summer 2023 were the testers and all the judges seemed to like it better, though it was a lot of clicking. Since then, updates have been done to improve the scoring system AND x_Jen_x has also been working on an updated entry form.

The stores are still being worked on but we are very close to being able to start sponsoring! This is very exciting news, it means progress has been made. Although, we have been very disappointed with the lack of interest by the deco community in donating to any of the stores. Below is a list of business owners who have donated items to the Zaby Home Stores. Please support them!

Sweetpea: Outer Limits Designs By Sweetpea
Anhton_Novo and Jonash_Novo: JA Novo Designs
SaphyreRose: Saphyre Rose Deco and Designs
BB_Licious: BaD Deco, Bad Company, and BadApple Props.

FallenDeco: Fallen Deco, Fallen Deco Props and Mystic Gardens.

Update: The stores were closed due to non-participation from the deco community.
